The easy way to refill inkjet cartridges . . .

Jetpak, the easy way to recycle ink jet cartridges

Save Big On Inkjet Printing Costs!

If you own an inkjet printer, plotter or plain paper fax or multifunction machine, you know how expensive inkjet cartridges can be.  Perhaps in an effort to save money you've tried "do-it-yourself" refill kits. But refill kits can be messy, time consuming, and unreliable. (Maybe you've noticed?)

We've got good news for you: using a Jetpak, you can let someone else refill your cartridge and still save up to 60% on your inkjet printing costs.

What the cost of a Jetpak covers:

  • A plastic bag you put your empty inkjet cartridge into.

  • An easy-to-assemble cardboard mailer you put your bagged cartridge into

  • Shipping your empty cartridge to the refill plant

  • New ink

  • A protective bag to keep your refilled cartridge fresh until you use it

  • Shipping a cleaned, refilled, and tested cartridge (not necessarily your original cartridge) back to you again

What you have to do (in detail!):

  1. Purchase a Jetpak from us. Make sure your cartridge can be recycled using a Jetpak (see our list of "Jetpak-able" cartridges).

  2. Wait for an ink cartridge to get empty.

  3. Pop your empty cartridge out of your printer.

  4. Put the cartridge in the bag included in your Jetpak. (For best results, put your cartridge into the bag immediately after removing from the printer. Cartridges that get dried out have a lower success rate in the refilling process.)

  5. Assemble the cardboard mailer following the simple instructions.

  6. Put the bagged cartridge in the mailer.

  7. Write your return address on the mailer.

  8. Put the mailer in any mailbox.

  9. Wait for an ink cartridge to be returned to you in a few days. (If you need to use your printer in the mean time, we suggest buying a second cartridge so you'll always have a spare when one of your cartridges is being refilled.)

  10. When the renewed cartridge arrives, put it back into your printer or save it for future use!

What if I mail my cartridge off in a Jetpak and it is unrecyclable?

Every cartridge will wear out sooner or later, often due to one of the many resistors in the head failing. Before a cartridge is mailed back to you, your cartridge will be tested for print quality. If it does not pass the test, your cartridge will be discarded and you will be sent another Jetpak (or, if you're a frequent customer, just a certificate that allows you to include an extra cartridge in the next Jetpak you send in) at no additional charge.

Recycling Makes Sense

We've told you why recycling ink cartridges makes sense for you. But don't forget -- recycling makes sense for the environment, too. While every inkjet cartridge will eventually wear out, cartridges may be recycled many times before that happens. Just reach for your Jetpak when your cartridge runs out of ink instead of tossing it in the trash.

Buy a Jetpak now so you'll have it when your cartridge goes dry. Otherwise when your cartridge runs out of ink, you'll probably just run to the store and buy a new one (and waste a lot of money!).  Tip - black cartridges store well for 6 months and more, but color cartridges should not be stored for more than a couple of months.

Guarantee: Cartridges that develop print problems may be returned subject to the following conditions: 1) Cartridges must bear an IJR-issued "Recycled" label. If these labels are removed, the warranty is voided. 2) Cartridges that are more than 75% used may not be returned as defective. 3) Cartridges that are tampered with after receipt may not be returned. There are two ways a customer using a Jetpak mailer may return a "defective" cartridge: 1) it should be clearly marked "defective" and placed as an "extra" cartridge in another mailer being sent, or 2) we will issue a "Return Mailer." Return Mailers will be sent only to the individual or company originally mailing the Jetpak for processing. Upon receipt, a returned cartridge will be inspected and tested. If found serviceable, it will be repackaged and returned. If the cartridge is found defective and meets all other warranty conditions, the customer will receive another Jetpak or a certificate to recycle another cartridge at no cost. Certificates may be used to send an "extra" cartridge in any future mailer.  Jetpak refilled cartridges are warranted for 6 months or 180 days - no exceptions
