Basic Black is Always in Style

We offer more than 28000 SKUs through our competitive edge program, 750 of which are stock items.  This means that popular part numbers are available for same day shipping.  Stock items are available in standard case quantities or 6- and 12-pack quantities to reduce your inventory level.

We offer 8 different black ribbon formulations to ensure that you have the best price/performance solution for every tag and label application.  Here are a few "rules of thumb" to guide you in matching the right ribbon to the application.

Premium Wax/Resin Products

Prime Mark

Prime Mark is an excellent all-around wax/resin product.  It's strengths include its excellent print quality, rotated bar code sharpness, and its ability to print on a wide range of coated papers, low end films, and polyesters.  Lead with Prime Mark for:

bulletAll basic wax/resin applications that require the durability of a wax/resin but do not require resistance to chemicals like isopropyl alcohol.

NET Mark

NET Mark is formulated specifically for use on Near Edge printers.  It is the industry standard, and works well in all Near Edge applications, including tag and label, and coating/marking directly on flexible packaging films.

Super Premium Resin Products

SP-330

SP-330 covers a very broad range of harsh environment labeling specifications.  Lead with SP-330 for:

bulletAny application that requires the durability and chemical resistance of a resin ribbon.

NET Resin

NET Resin is also formulated specifically for use on Near Edge printers.  Like SP-330, NET Resin should be used for any Near Edge application that requires the durability and chemical resistance of a resin ribbon.

General Purpose Wax Products

Fast Wax

Fast Wax does an excellent job across a wide variety of general purpose applications.  Its strengths include its ability to print on both coated and uncoated paper receivers and to print at speeds up to and including 12 ips.  It also features low printhead energy settings - resulting in less wear and tear on printheads.  Lead with Fast Wax for:

bulletBasic general purpose wax applications that do not require exceptional abrasion resistance
bulletHigh speed print-and-apply applications
bulletApplications where uncoated tag or label stock is used

Versa Mark

Versa Mark is distinguished by its Guardian backcoat.  Guardian leaves no permanent build-up on printheads, which means no smudges or smears will mar print quality over the life of a printhead.  Versa Mark's other strengths include its high speed printing performance, ability to print on a very wide range of receivers, including uncoated stocks, and its wide energy range which allows it to be "dropped in" on competitive wax ribbons with little or no adjustment.  Lead with Versa Mark for:

bulletHigh volume applications where the user will benefit from Guardian backcoat performance.
bulletHigh speed print-and-apply applications
bulletApplications where multiple receivers and/or uncoated stocks are used
bulletCoding/marking directly on flexible packaging films
bulletApplications where the user is unable or unwilling to turn down the printer energy settings

High Mark

High Mark is an extremely durable wax ribbon, on par with some premium wax/resin ribbons.  It is ideal for coated paper and polyolefins, however, it is ill-suited for uncoated paper stocks.  In addition to durability, High Mark's strengths include high speed printing performance, and very low printer energy requirements - sometimes half those of competitive products.  Lead with High Mark for:

bulletHigh speed print-and-apply applications where coated paper is used
bulletApplications that require a wax ribbon with a higher level of durability
bulletGeneral purpose applications where the user is willing and able to turn down the printer energy setting.  Once the energy setting is turned down, it is very difficult for a competitor to convince the user to turn it up again.
