Lessons we can learn from the attack (which were in the Bible all
along)

- Nothing manmade lasts forever.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens
will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense
heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. (II Peter 3:10,
NASB)
- Live each day as if it could be your last. (Someday it will!)
Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of
people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness . . . ! (II Peter
3:11, NASB)
- Don't boast about tomorrow.
Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we shall go to such
and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a
profit." Yet you do not know what your life will be like
tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and
then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord
wills, we shall live and also do this or that." (James 4:13-15,
NASB)
- Bad things happen to good people. (A lot of them died in the
attack.)
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes
upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to
you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on
rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with
exultation. (I Peter 4:12, 13, NASB)
- Good things happen to bad people. (The terrorist's attack was
a success.)
I was envious of the arrogant, as I saw the prosperity of the
wicked. For there are no pains in their death; and their body is
fat. They are not in trouble as other men; nor are they plagued like
mankind. Therefore pride is their necklace; the garment of violence
covers them. (Psalm 73:3-6, NASB)
